On May 8th the long evening of science (Langer Abend der Wissenschaft) took place at Ulm University. The event was mainly visited by the general public with many families attending. Our group contributed with a booth on “building your framework” in which participants could construct their own molecular model of framework materials. The kids particularly enjoyed our Hoberman sphere and we are glad that it was returned in one piece and functional.
The second booth was organized in collaboration with the photography lab of MUZ Ulm University in which we recorded images with a UV Camera and also demonstrated historical photographic processes with 19th century equipment and techniques.
Both booths were occupied the whole evening, and we are particularly proud of the wide participation of kids and students.
Let’s see what we will plan for next year.
